Poison Pill Suspected in Arizona Courtroom Death
There was a horrific ending to a trial in Phoenix, Arizona. After being convicted of arson, Michael Marin is suspected of popping a poison pill which ultimately led to his death. Following the reading of the verdict, courtroom video shows Marin reaching his hand to his mouth. Several minutes later, he began convulsing and was soon pronounced dead.
Marin was convicted of setting his home on fire. Had he plead guilty in the case, he would have faced only a few years in jail but plea talks fell apart and he faced 10 to 20 years behind bars.
