From NewsCore: Emergency crews met the flight, which originated in Detroit, at the gate, WFLD-TV reported.

A passenger on the flight, who reportedly was traveling to the US from Ghana, may have shown symptoms of a communicable disease, according to WFLD.

Authorities from the Chicago Department of Public Health and the US Centers for Disease Control, along with fire and ambulance crews, were at the scene when the plane landed at 3:46pm local time.


As reported on Special Report, a Delta Air Lines flight has been quarantined after landing at Midway Airport Thursday afternoon over fears that a passenger aboard the aircraft had some sort of a contagious disease, local affiliate WFLD-TV reported.

Fire and ambulance crews are on the runway, and the Chicago Department of Public Health is working with the Centers for Disease Control.
