'Real Housewives of New Jersey's' Caroline Manzo spoke exclusively to the Fox News Insider on Thursday to comments made by democratic strategist Hilary Rosen that have the reality star more than a bit fired up. Rosen remarked on Ann Romney's role as a stay-at-home mom, saying she'd "never worked a day in her life." Manzo calls the remark an insult ... and one she doesn't take lightly.

"I am beyond insulted by that remark. I speak, I hope, for millions of women across the country that are mothers - whether you're a stay-at-home or a working mom. There's no job more difficult than

a parent's job, and to suggest this woman who raised [children] ... isn't worth her salt because, oh, she doesn't have anything to say or give to this country because she's a stay-at-home mome ... walk a mile in our shoes. Spend a day in the life of a mother."

Manzo said the job of any mother involves wearing "a million different hats," and you never have a moment off, regardless of whether your 'work' is at home or in an office.

"You have just insulted every woman in the United States of America ... and I don't know how you're gonna come back from that," she said, "because now I look at you, and I wonder what your mother has to say about that. What a slap in the face." Manzo finished her response simply with, "shame on you."
