Perry's Twitter Account, Campaign Sources: He's Heading to South Carolina
A comment sent out on Rick Perry's Twitter account Wednesday alluded to the Texas governor staying in the race for the White House following last night's remark in which Perry said he would be returning to Texas to "reassess" his campaign. The tweet read: "And the next leg of the marathon is the Palmetto State...Here we come South Carolina!!!"
According to NewsCore:
"A senior Republican official confirmed to National Journal that Perry planned to take a couple of days off in Texas before heading to New Hampshire ahead of two weekend debates in the Granite State.
Following the debates, Perry would resume
campaigning in South Carolina ahead of the state's Jan. 21 primary.
Perry spokesman Mark Miner could not confirm his boss was continuing in the race, but told Politico the governor does control his Twitter account."
