Tonight, Shepard Smith reported the latest on the 2010 Midterms. Just one day after the election, the U.S. faces a future with a government divided because despite the Republican victory in taking control of the House (represented in red in the graphic above), the Democrats still hold the majority in the Senate.
Shep says the President reacted today during a White House news conference, and spoke of compromise, especially on the front of the jobs and economy.
Putting politics aside, the president emphasized that both sides work towards the country’s economic recovery.
The president spoke about the Democrats' loss in the election last night, saying “It feels bad”. He also called last night’s results “a shellacking”.
